About the Course
Social media is one of the most powerful communication tools ever created. Learn how to master it.
It’s never been easier to get your ideas out into the world. No king or emperor of centuries past could speak to as many people as you can through social media today. Yet, in another sense, it’s also never been harder to get your ideas across: Everyone is on social media, so how do you cut through the noise?
It doesn’t require any special credentials or connections, nor fancy equipment or studio time. Whether you’re a PhD or a high school dropout, a bestselling author or a stay-at-home mom, you can reach the people you want to reach, help shape the conversations of the day, engage with your heroes, find mentors, clients, and friends—all without gatekeepers, and largely for free.
All you need is an internet connection and the knowledge to leverage certain technologies—which is what this course will teach you.
You’ll learn how to:
- Choose a social media platform that suits your needs and voice
- Define your niche
- Write and speak to “stop the scroll”
- Understand and leverage platform algorithms
- Create content that goes viral
- Build an audience and a community of true fans
- Use social media to level up in life

How This Course Works
This course is interactive and discussion-driven, so enrollment is limited. Register early to secure your spot.
The course is held live on Zoom, which you can download for free here. Sessions are video recorded, so if you miss a session (or want to review), you can watch the recording. OSI may sell course recordings and/or use them for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes.
The course is 6 hours long, consisting of 4 sessions of 1.5 hours each. Homework assignments are optional. Doing them may require an additional hour or more per week but will greatly enhance what you learn in this course.
Course handouts and supplementary materials are delivered via email. Course participants are invited to an exclusive OSI Courses group on Facebook, where they can post questions and engage in discussions with the instructor and other participants.
