The Future Today
OSI Updates – September
Hi Reader,
Happy September! We’re excited to announce that our former Junior Fellow Daria Topchii has joined OSI as a Fellow. She writes and creates videos about the role rational philosophy plays in personal flourishing—and the cost of accepting irrational ideas. You can find Daria on Instagram, YouTube, and Substack.
Also new this month, Angel’s review of Children of Time explores how the novel tackles leadership, dogma, history, and humanity’s future—ultimately questioning whether empathy alone is enough to sustain human progress.
In his latest article, Craig challenges the common claim that Objectivism’s absolutism makes it rigid or dogmatic. He argues that its reality-based principles and emphasis on independent thought are precisely what make the philosophy profoundly liberating.
And we’ve started rolling out our LevelUp 2026 talks on YouTube. Don’t miss Timothy Sandefur on Understanding the Declaration of Independence—one of our favorites from this year. Tim examines the Declaration’s philosophical and legal foundations and the lessons they hold for us today.
We hope you’ll find something here worth reading, watching, and thinking about this September.
Keep thriving,
Justyna
PS: We’re also accepting applications for OSI Junior Fellow Program. If you’d like to build a career writing, speaking, or creating content that promotes reason, liberty, and human flourishing, apply now.
